Recent global circumstances and comparable regional value brought us as foreign home buyers (not merely absentee investors) to the area. Having looked at scores of properties and met most area agents over eight months, we soon learned Susan O’Brien was far more knowledgeable than any others of the often perplexing differences between North American and Australian real estate sales practices. Understanding full well that agents represent and are compensated by sellers, sellers still need buyers. So you’d expect honest sellers would want to attract as many varied buyers as possible with a near equal concern for both buyer and seller issues when advancing a sale. We did not always find this to be reliably true. By contrast, Susan and her entire team addressed all our foreign buyer concerns with a healthy respect and concluded our purchase successfully for her seller with greatest skill and aplomb.
