Tina responded quickly to my queries although not always succinctly.
Tina seemed to have a good knowledge of the market because she is pretty much the sole agent in the area at this time.
However, when Tina told me she was going to add a few throw rugs and a couple of lights to highlight my home I did not expect her to completely ’style’ it.
She had little regard for my personal belongings and filled my house with her ‘style’. It became unliveable.
She unplugged the tv, the microwave, the security light and moved them away from power outlets.
She moved items into cupboards or under beds.
In my opinion her decorating was unnecessary and I’m not sure how she is paid to do this. There is a price given for photography but not individual price for ‘styling’.
She then used my carport to store her surplus ‘treasures’. I had to move them to get my car in.
Getting her to remove her belongings took too long.
Then there was the panicked phone call to tell me the Shire had no knowledge of my garage. Her advice was to ring the Shire, plead ignorance and request an in retrospect building application.
She suggested the Shire might ask me to demolish the garage.
All this proved to be a mistake and caused unnecessary worry.
She rang me at 4.15pm so too late to ring and sort her mistake.
My Settlement Agent found the correct information the following morning in a matter of minutes. I had had a worrying night.
No apology.
She got the job done but seems to have little respect for a seller’s home.
She appears very confident of her own ability.
In retrospect I would look to use a different agent.
