Sale of Apartment 8/ 278 Darby Street, Cooks Hill. 2300.
My apartment , a very spacious apartment was in excellent condition and in a very convenient location. I therefore thought
that it would sell quite quickly. The first couple to come through ( on the Monday) were obviously quite taken with it. (They
were looking for their son). He flew in from overseas on the Tuesday. They all came through it again on the Wednesday and
made an offer that night. The offer was below the asking price. There was to be an open house the following Saturday which they did not want to happen. Because I knew I had to settle on my Villa on a certain date, I accepted their offer. However in
hindsight I probably should have let Tony continue with the Open House on the following Saturday. There may have been
some competition. I have also found out since, that the settlement date here on my villa at Closebourne Village was more
flexible than I had imagined. Therefore I may have achieved a higher outcome. Who knows?
The photographer and Tony were both very professional. The whole sale went very smoothly and there was quite a quick
settlement. I would recommend Tony and One Agency Eastlakes to anyone who was looking for a reputable estate agent.
If I were selling again I would be happy to have Tony as my agent but I doubt he would want to come all the way to Morpeth.
Also selling in a Retirement Village is quite different to selling a house.
