We engaged Trevor to sell our property in one of the eastern suburbs of Melbourne during a time when the interest rates were going up an the market was down. We found Trevor to be very knowledgeable about the suburb and the market conditions and helped us to decide on the right strategy to market and sell the property.
A couple of qualities that stand out were his communication skills where he would be in touch regularly with updates on the sale process and once the opens started, we would get an email with a summary along with a phone call where he'd talk through the feedback from potential buyers and what is working or not working about the property. He was also very helpful in getting tradie contacts to spruce up the house prior to selling and was following up on a regular basis with them about the progress. With us living overseas and in a different time zone, it was much appreciated.
While we had a certain price in mind that we wanted for the property, Trevor tried to manage expectations by sharing feedback from interested buyers on where the market was at which was helpful to temper our own expectations. He also supported us through the process of selling a property and educated us on things that were not familiar with.
Overall, we found Trevor to be honest and professional. We felt he did everything he could to get us the best price in the current market conditions and while we didn't get what we expected, we can't fault his effort.
