I spent a great deal of time searching for an agent to sell my home. After much deliberation I decided to go with Troy. I am so happy that I did! Really felt that he invested more time in getting us to agree to a price that suited the first potential buyer and to get him a fast no fuss sale. Encouraged us to take an offer that was $12000 less than the price we ended up getting and he spent time telling us how the buyers have had a rough time and therefore we should accept their low offer. He spent no time getting to know our personal situation to know that we were a single income family with 2 young kids that needed a certain price to meet our financial obligations. I'm glad we trusted our gut feeling and stuck to our guns with the minimum sale price but it left us wondering if we should have gone with another agent that was more interested in getting a good sale rather than a fast one. Do agents normally encourage seller to sell to the first potential buyer for $12K under the minimum asking price after the house was on the market for less than a week?
