As executives in large businesses we operate with the highest levels of integrity and ethics and expect the same in our private dealings. We met Tyson remotely in looking at one of his properties which didn’t meet our requirements. He quickly swung behind another beautiful property he had listed and that was our first take on Tyson; determined but also an active listener who heard why the first property wasn’t right and translated that very quickly into one that just might work. Our process was made difficult by attempting to choose between the Sothebys property and one other on a very tight time schedule, I never thought our ally in negotiating our way through that complex process would be Tyson. He listened to our reasons, even helped to strategise how we could keep both options open. Tyson didn’t have to do that and at the same time helped us with some of the finer details in buying a property in what is a foreign market to us with its own distinct rules. Knowledgeable, impartial and a talented but fair negotiator he strikes an incredible balance between reaching his vendors expectations whilst providing the buyer, us, with enough information to make the right decision. On execution of contract Tyson didn’t magically disappear, he continued to work with us to undertake negotiations with the vendor to allow us to make material changes to the property prior to final settlement. This extra mile is important and highlights Tysons passion for his profession.
