Veronica Perez
My husband and I first spoke to Veronica and her colleague Tina, in December to get an idea of the value of our property, with a view to putting it on the market a couple of months later - in February. We required a long settlement period as we were purchasing another apartment off the plan which would not be completed until May at the earliest. They clearly explained how that could be managed, which set our minds at ease. They explained that off-market was the best approach for selling our property and why. They also advised that they had the largest database of potential buyers for our area; with quite a number of people on that list who had been looking in our area to buy for quite a while because they were waiting for the right property. And they felt that these buyers would be happy to accept our terms for a long settlement. They told us that our property was what these buyers were looking for and convinced us that it would be worthwhile to put our property on the market just a few weeks before Christmas – typically the worst time of the year to sell a property. I was sceptical about this however, they were very convincing and so I agreed. Sure enough, a number of buyers were available to view our property leading up to Christmas, and in early January, and offers were made. By the 13th January, a buyer made us the offer that we were hoping for and accepted our terms of a long settlement period. Our property is now under contract.
