When I met up with Viet at the open house inspection he appeared really enthusiastic, knowledgeable and understanding. However after that day it went downhill from there. As a first home buyer, my knowledge about contracts and all that goes with it was minimal which he took advantage of. I had explained to him that me putting an offer on the house was subject to finance as I was still waiting to speak to my broker the day after. And that I didn't need a solicitor prior to making the offer and he can add that in after. Somehow he ended up changing it and stated I had decided to put in an unconditional offer instead. In the weeks following up to settlement. He refused to answer phone calls from my broker/valuator to agree on a day to valuation the house for my loan to be approved. Yet had the audacity to constantly call me and text me to the point of harassment for the down deposit money to be paid. Due to that unconditional offer I supposedly agreed on. At this stage I professionally informed him that all communication will be done via my solicitor. When the valuation was finally agreed on which was a week and a half from first contact, once again he constantly harassed me by phone calls and text messages whilst I was at work saying he will leave the property if the valuator doesn't show up. Knowing full well that the valuation was needed in order for my loan to be approved. Viet kept priding himself as the number 1 agent in the south east, but throughout my time purchasing my first house, he has Been nothing but unhelpful, unorganised getting dates such as settlement mixed up, unprofessional by the constant calls and text messages regarding paying and has made the experience a completely terrible snd stressful one instead if being exciting. I for one would never want to deal with him again and by default the real estate company he therefore represents.
