We were buying our first property in Australia for our family to live in. The property had done through some major changes looking at old photos. When we made the offer we specifically asked the agent if the changes have council approval and agent and partner (who is also an agent) confirmed this. They had come back from a party that day and maybe it was the drinks talking we assumed they knew what they were talking about. At the middle of the settlement process we now find out some of the changes made to the house had no prior approval from the council. Terrible communication skills and talk about things they have no clue about. Would never recommend to anyone.
