We are talking about facts here. It was Grand Final Day — windy, raining heavily, and one of our strongest buyers had to withdraw due to finance issues. Despite all that, 29 people walked into my living room, with 5 active bidders competing on the day. In one of the toughest moments in the Melbourne property market, the final result genuinely exceeded our expectations. Everyone there could feel the atmosphere — it was one of those auctions where everything came together perfectly. Many of Billy’s reviews mention his work ethic, reliability, genuine care for buyers, communication, professional advice, attention to detail and deep understanding of the market. Having experienced the process as a seller, I now understand why. Every detail of preparing my property was planned by Billy — from the sales strategy to furniture placement and presentation. I followed his advice and trusted his judgement throughout the campaign. The process was smooth, organised and produced a near-perfect outcome. But there is something else I have been thinking about. There is a huge difference between someone who simply does their job well and someone who is genuinely obsessed with doing things perfectly. If you are extremely demanding of yourself, obsessive about every detail, and your goal is not simply to get paid but to achieve the best possible result and take genuine pride in your work — you are probably part of the 1%. That, to me, explains why Billy has been in this industry for 19 years. He has trained many people who eventually became competitors, but from my experience, very few have truly captured what makes him different. I feel very fortunate that I trusted my judgement and put my complete trust in Billy. I followed his advice, let him do what he does best, and the result speaks for itself. I am genuinely thrilled with the outcome. Billy is a legend, and he will be the exclusive agent for all my future projects.
