Mark's initial meeting with us was friendly and open, when we discussed our initial asking price, he did not refute it, but encouraged us to ask what we wanted. That ended up being a mistake and when he gave us knowledge of the prices in the area a couple of months later, we dropped the price and then got more enquiries. As we were quite keen to sell, we agreed to an auction, this was attended by nobody due to Covid restrictions, so advertising and organised for nothing. We were not offered another day when restrictions were lifted and then had to drop the price again. Paddy was very responsive and this was the second time I had dealt with him and his agency. My husband and I had purchased 46 Wallace street through Paddy two years prior to this sale. During that purchase there was an issue with a roof that was not yet compliant due to a previous house fire. After negotiations the purchase price was adjusted down for the cost to have this repaired. As our current home had been sold already we accepted this offer and moved in despite the inconvenience. I chose to use Paddy again 2 years later when my husband passed away. Paddy again was prompt and professional in my dealings with him and the sale of 46 Wallace street was quick as he suggested it would be. I would only suggest more information of the current market and genuine transparency of what pricing to expect forthcoming. The written appraisal given me for 46 Wallace street for this sale by Paddy was for offers over $900k however within one week Paddy had recommended the sale price be dropped by $100k. My home was sold for over $100k less within only a few weeks on the market. Whilst I accepted this offer due to the situation I found myself in after my husbands passing , the sale price was far below what I had expected and extremely lower then the initial listing price set and recommended by the agent.

The sale of my property took significantly longer than anticipated, mostly because of the market's softening. Matthew has consistently demonstrated support and professionalism along the entire process.
