I can not speak highly enough of Renee. Not only is she excellent at her job, she is a genuinely lovely person who wants to help you achieve your goals! The communication and honesty that I received from Renee and her team is second to none, and I have recommend her services to many people since my dealings with her began. I had bad experiences with both brokers and banks before I first spoke with Renee, she got straight on the job and didn't stop until she got my loan over the line. Because of her I will be spending Christmas in my very own (first!) home with my family.

Recently we came across a magical piece of Australia that met our requirements for our future forever home. The obvious challenge was to ensure that we could gain the finance to support it. As a former Broker I understand the requirements for a mortgage and we did the right thing where prior to looking, we had a written pre approval through our current bank (one of the major 4). As a back up I also wanted to engage with a Broker to ensure all of our eggs were not in the one basket. Anyone who has been through buying a home can understand the stress that goes with gaining mortgage finance. I started to look for a Broker and just as I remembered, there were varying degrees of requirements and levels of knowledge amongst Brokers. Including one that required me attending finance seminars prior to looking at the deal. In my internet search I came across Renee Hohenhaus. Once we started moving forward there were a couple of small delays initially, however admittedly they were on my side. Once this was sorted, Approval came through in a couple of days and still within the 14 day finance clause. Back slaps and high 5s all round. Our current bank however continually asked and had to be redirected to exactly what we were after. Long story short, the bank gave full approval 3 weeks after contract date. Take into account they had a pre approval in place, and a 14 day finance clause to comply with.....I would hate to think we would have lost our dream due to having a finance extension denied due to bank incompetence. Post going unconditional, Ivanka Marincic working with Renee ensured that we understood our requirements moving forward and gave us gentle nudges when we were remiss. All the way through settlement. In summary, what took a major bank 3 weeks took Renee a few days and as a bonus she organised a 2.6% discount on the mortgage. Hard to fault.
