When I hired a property manager, I had assumed that they are all the same: they find tenants, collect rent monies and address the occasional maintenance issue through rather impersonal transactions. Mel and Elisa from Century 21 on Duporth, however, have far exceeded my expectations. I have had grave reservations about leaving my home in the care of a management company, but Mel and Elisa have given me great confidence that it is being well looked after. Mel and Elisa have taken extreme care in addressing all the issues pertaining to my property - and I've had a fair few issues crop up. Their routine inspection reports are detailed and thorough. They communicate with me in a timely manner to keep me updated and alleviate any anxiety I might have about the property. Although I have not met either of them because I live overseas, I feel as if I know them personally and can rely on them completely. In dealing with construction defects and tenant damage issues, Mel and Elisa have unfailingly fought in my corner to ensure that the defects got sorted and that the damages were compensated. In doing so, they have never hesitated to stand up on my behalf to protect my interests. When faced with a dispute, Mel and Elisa would seek a fair resolution, while ensuring that I was not compromised - not an easy task. Although their mandate is to look after their clients' properties, I can see in my correspondence with them that they take all aspects of the situation into account and are considerate of all parties in their approach, a professional quality I absolutely respect. Mel and Elisa have performed above and beyond their duties in attending inspections and mediation for the defects and damages issues. In the midst of all this, Century 21 was able to coordinate a smooth transition between remediation works and new tenancies. Excellent management, hands down!
