I contacted Jake to sell my elderly mum’s home after crossing paths with him several years ago when I was house hunting. My partner and I only spent a few moments chatting to Jake back then, but we both experienced him as a person of integrity; welcoming, knowledgeable and personable with no slick sales talk! Due to the current circumstances, Jake meet with my mum in hospital where she was waiting to transition to a nursing home. It was always going to be a difficult discussion; from mum’s perspective selling her home was saying goodbye to her independence. Needless to say, I am truly grateful for the gentle, patient and respectful way Jake extended himself to mum throughout this meeting. Jake was well-informed and transparent when discussing and advising on prices and also the sales process. We believed that the sales price of the house was really fair and clearly so did the buyer; 3 days on the market and Jake sold the house to a cash purchaser! It is such a relief to our family to know that mum can now afford the exorbitant nursing home fees.
