We recently made the decision to move from our home of over 35 years to an apartment and due to some unforeseen circumstances were delayed in selling our property. As it turned out, we placed our house on the market in the middle of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This meant (as decreed by the prime minister), open houses and on-site auctions were forbidden but inspection by appointment was allowed.
Hearing that people were losing their jobs and the economy moving to recession left us in a panic.
Despite our fears and scepticism, Daniel Starr felt confident he would sell our property and through intuition and "thinking outside the box" Daniel and his team successfully sold our house at auction with a tidy sum above our reserve price.
We were given really good advice to empty and style our home which looked amazing, we had regular updates on inspections and buyer opinions and then when it came time to auction, it was all done on-line with Gavl which basically overcame the need for an on-site Auction (really clever strategy!!)
We sat in our apartment and watched as the Auctioneer Leon worked his charm while Daniel and his Starr Partners team were communicating with our 6 registered bidders and managing everything in the background from their respective offices.
It was amazing to watch as our auction went past our reserve and kept going and in the circumstances we couldn't have asked for a better result.
We were so grateful we went with Daniel, Angelo and the team and I have to say honestly that I doubt another Agent in the Greystanes area would have achieved the same result.
