Yet again we are disappointed with the standard of cleaning by tenants vacating one of our rental properties, as they are not leaving it in a similar condition as to when they first moved in. The following are areas that we have found lacking: 1. Washing of internal walls to remove furniture and general living marks etc. 2. Dusting and wiping down of shelves to remove dust and grime etc. 3. Mopping and cleaning of hard floor surfaces. 4. Advising the property owners of damage that has occurred ASAP, to enable repair work to be carried out ASAP. In relation to item 1 above, this is a simple job of washing the internal walls to remove furniture and general living marks etc, and returning the house back to a clean and presentable state. This also becomes useful as a benchmark position of cleanliness to the incoming tenants. We do not want to end up in a situation where the vacating tenants say " This was the condition of the property when we moved in and so we are leaving it in the same condition ". Please note that we have never let out one of our properties in a poor or unclean state. Please advise us of the outcome, as we are not happy. Regards, Grenville and Noelene Snelling
