We went with the team at Freedom property as we know they sell lots of properties in the Redlands and had recently sold a property close by. We decided to sell off market as only wanted to sell if we achieved a certain price - and it should be noted that Josh and his team achieved that price. However we went into this experience with our eyes open and I am glad we did as we believe the team has their own self interest over our interests. This was highlighted by us asking that if they were confident of the price they could achieve, if they would take the risk of front up the marketing costs and recouping them on the sale. They said no, which is fair and reasonable, however their actions afterwards highlighted to us how they don't put the interest of the seller first. The disappointing thing is that they then advertised the house for sale once the property went unconditional and their commission was guaranteed. This happened without our consent as we did not want this to be advertised, and we were never informed that it was advertised, and when questioned on it, we were lied to about us saying we wanted it out there. After requesting to take it down, they still haven't, and we feel like we have been used as a marketing tool for Josh and his team, when we never approved for this to be marketed (particularly after the property had gone unconditional). This to me just highlights how they have their own self interest at heart and not the sellers best interest. We are happy with the price we got for the property, but everything else has just left a bad taste in our mouth.
