About Jason

Jason Barnett AREI – Director Real estate has never felt like work to Jason. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t work hard; it’s just always felt like a natural fit. Jason is many things: a lifelong learner, fully licensed estate agent, an associate of the Real Estate Institute of Australia, accredited REIV auctioneer and two-term chairperson of REIV Geelong. He’s also husband to Tina (a school principal), dad to two, and a keen tennis player. As Managing Director of Barnett Real Estate, Jason’s a businessman with a vision. He leads a dedicated team of professionals who share his belief that real estate is more about people than property, that good reputations and referrals are earned through solid, hard work and doing the right thing by people, whether they’re selling or buying. During 27 years working in Geelong’s real estate market, Jason has worked with hundreds of commercial and residential sellers, buyers, property owners and tenants from across the Geelong and Surf Coast region. “Each has their own story, their own reasons for selling or buying, for where they live or want to live,” says Jason. “Real estate is a serious business. We don’t take it lightly. Our job as agents is to add value to the process and get each of our clients to the next chapter in their story, with the best possible outcome.” Jason believes that adding value is about the nuts and bolts of sound, realistic advice: guiding clients on how to prepare their property for presentation and helping them choose the right method of sale. It’s about explaining the pitfalls and the possibilities with honesty, so people can make informed decisions that work best for them.

Jason does it again

I came back to Jason after previous success at selling property. My challenge this time for Jason was to market and gain a successful sale of a a bush block over one hour from his office. Jason prepared a marketing plan to maximize exposure after undertaking an extensive analysis of sales and values in the area. Best Agent Ever!

I am over the moon with the service we received from Jason. He expertly appraised and marketed our house so well it sold in 2 weeks, at a price well above our range! Great result using Social Media to get more buyers

Jason sold our waterfront property at Auction to a Melbourne based buyer.
