I bought my second house from Garrod three years ago and after some exposure to other real estate agents in Bunbury it was clear that I wanted Garrod to represent me when I put this house on the market. The overriding factor why I chose Garrod was his respectfulness to my inclusion in the process. Like many people do when they decide to sell their home, we made the decision to sell our house ourselves and save on real estate agent commissions. And given the industries we are in, we were confident that we would have / could have done so successfully. This is why when we first met Jacob Williams from Barr & Standley at a home we were looking to buy, I was reluctant and resistant to his request in a follow up call that he perhaps try to sell our existing home for us. It was only the fact that Jacob took time to discuss the amount we wanted to achieve (which he agreed was reasonable) and the non-pushy, friendly yet professional nature of his approach that we decided to give him a go... Well... the rest is history. Jacob not only sold our home, his dedicated efforts and truly outstanding negotiation skills with buyers saw him achieve a price that not only covered the agent's sales fee it also put several extra thousand dollars in our hand above what we expected. Furthermore he did it in a manner of weeks! And to prove it wasn't a fluke - we gave him the opportunity to also sell a block of land we had listed for sale ourselves, and he again got us more than we had hoped for in a very short period of time.
