I came to pick up the keys for our new rental from Barry Plant Essendon and had a young girl on reception who explained nothing and made me sign multiple condition photos before handing over the keys when I hadn't even been in the rental yet to agree. When I came to drop off the condition report I had several issues I wanted to discuss. I was met again by a young girl who tried to brush me off as soon as possible and said she would pass it on to the agent. I asked if it was supposed to be signed by both parties and I get a copy. She said no I should have got a cover sheet given to me with the keys. I didn't know what the cover sheet was. Finally a more mature woman with obvious client skills who was on reception at the time interceded . I finally got a copy of my condition report signed by the receptionist. I passed on a sheet with my observations and several questions I wanted answered but I haven't heard anything yet. I am tired of having girls at reception who have zero client skills and want to do as little as possible to get you out the door. If that was the beginning of the rental relationship where will it go from here?

I have moved into a newly built unit as a tenant and I was given the garage remote of my neighbour’s garage (apparently they were given the remote for my garage, which they got it fixed later). Upon requesting for a replacement, they asked me to collect it from their office located about 10kms away from my residence and when I did go and collect the replacement, it turned out it to be the remote of my neighbour’s garage again. I’ve communicated this to them and still waiting on a remote for my garage. I guess this reflects on their professionalism and lack of respect for their tenant’s time and effort.
