I was the vendor of the property that Gulsum sold, and I was deeply disappointed to read the unfair and misleading review left by the buyer. Throughout the entire process, I found Gulsum to be of the highest professional standard. Her dedication, communication, and expertise in handling this sale were exceptional. The property was clearly represented as a fire-damaged home requiring demolition, and this was made clear to all prospective buyers. Unfortunately, after the sale, vandals broke through the temporary fencing and entered the site, leaving rubbish in the yard — a situation entirely beyond Gulsum’s control. Gulsum immediately informed me of the incident, and the rubbish was cleaned up well before settlement, ensuring the property was presented as agreed.It is disheartening that someone could use a review platform — intended for fair and honest feedback — to unfairly attack such a capable and ethical professional. Gulsum Okur proved to be a very unethical agent during my recent purchase. Put aside her attempts to play me against other alleged offer to increase the purchase price. I understand she was working for the sellers. What I found baffling and extremely unprofessional was that she made a sham video call to me prior to settlement (I was overseas at the time) showing me the property allegedly being cleaned up - the vendors were supposed to remove rubbish they dumped there after we had signed the contract. 45 mins later I found out that all the rubbish had been hidden behind the house instead, so nothing was visible from the street she was standing on making that call. Gulsum was clearly pushing for closing the deal to get her commission as I was clear that I was not going to settle unless the site had been cleaned up. We eventually did on the day but only because my conveyancer advised I would be in default with possible penalties otherwise. I will be reporting her to VCA and taking the matter to VCAT. I will never use or recommend this agent to anyone.
