We had a very successful sale with Derek Baston. He has great knowledge of the Vic Park area, including personal knowledge of recent and historic buyers and sellers in the neighborhood. This meant he accurately predicted exactly what kind of buyer we would attract and targeted the campaign accordingly. We appointed Derek because he was confident that he could successfully sell a tenanted property with a minimum of fuss while we were not even in the country. He liaised with tenants and property managers: we were surprised how easy (for us!) it was. Derek came good on everything that he predicted for us: the property sold very quickly, after only one open house, to the sort of buyer that he predicted and for an excellent price. We had more than one interested buyer, and Derek dealt with the negotiations in an honorable way so that seller and potential buyers all felt, I think, that a fair, win-win outcome was achieved. During the lead up to settlement, the building report process was not communicated to us as clearly as it could have been. This did not affect settlement, but it is the only area for improvement that we identified. Overall, we were very satisfied with the sale, which was fast, no trouble to us whatsoever, and exceeded our expectations.
