With historically low interest rates currently in place the hunt for property is extremely competitive and nowhere more than on the Mornington Peninsula. My wife and I have been lending a helping hand to my son and partner in this search that took us from Rye to Dromana. After about six months of disappointment I began to think we simply were not going to get on the home owner's train in this area. Phil Down from Hockingstuart placed our names on their early alert service which provided us with an edge into this competitive situation. He sent us a picture of a house that I immediately felt was right but it was not available for some weeks. When I spoke to Phil about it he made special arrangements for us to view the property and he came in to do this on his (no doubt very valued) day off. I cannot rate Steve Edmunds high enough. He talked me through the ins and outs of selling and then formulated a plan to Auction the house but due to his marketing of the house it was sold prior to Auction at a price that well exceeded my expectations. He then organised the contracts etc... and always answered my calls/emails promptly and gave advice on things that cropped up.
