A consistently credible agent!
Tom Shaw sold us a property in Hepburn Springs. After purchasing a Melbourne property just a few days prior, we both found Tom to be refreshingly different. Tom acted in a clear and professional way, without applying any spin or pressure to purchase. Better still, after we signed, Tom stepped in to help us when we were unable to get to the property on a number of occasions.

Half pleased half displeased.
Tom was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and was always available on the phone to answer questions until it came to placing counter offers. Initially we felt the experience to be really positive. He was very aware how interested I was in the property and that it was my first house purchase. From the very start of my dealings with Tom I was made aware that the sale was price motivated and if the vendors didn’t get what they wanted it would go on the rental market. I made an offer and it was rejected during business hours on a Friday, then I was contacted about another party’s offer at 7.45pm the same night when I was out to dinner, the voicemail message told me what the other party’s offer was, which was below what I had been told the vendors would accept but that they were going to accept it and that I needed to be quick. When I tried to call Tom to place another offer just before 9pm , a very short time later, he did not answer the phone and then texted me telling me that it was too late. I found the fact that I almost missed out on my beautiful home because negotiations were occurring outside business hours during dinner time and were not at all along the price point that I had been reminded of numerous times, and that I was not given a chance to make a counter offer, really quite distressing. My only contact with Tom before this had been detailed emails and phone calls but from the time of him leaving the voicemail of the other offer, I never spoke to him again, everything was done by text. I have never purchased a house before but on speaking to others who have, I was advised that the very quick turnaround outside business hours especially when the offer that was made was less than the listed price and less than the price that I had been told would be the lowest amount accepted, was really unusual. I eventually secured purchase of the house however the experience left me with no feeling of joy about buying my first home at that time.

Agent of choice!
