A review of Simon Gray, Biggin and Scott estate agent
It is easy to praise an estate agent when they sell your house for a good price. Maybe that’s all I need to say. But in my case I think I should say more.
There are several aspects. Obviously I'm delighted with the result which was 52 per cent higher than estimate of the first estate agent's I consulted. It was just under 40 per cent higher than the second agent I interviewed, a figure which nearly matched the price per area calculated by my brother who's a talented mathematician.
But a great price isn’t everything. Simon stepped in every time I need him. He came up with recommendation for a very good removalist and dug up a scrap metal dealer who actually came and collected the stuff. Simon gave good advice in terms of minimising my expenses, when they were not necessary. And of course he came up with a winning strategy of a very short and clever campaign using his extensive list.
Finally Simon went over and beyond the call of duty. He got done to the nuts and bolts, literally, disassembling my compactus when no handyperson was available and even turned up in working clothes early on the morning of the auction and using a broom got rid of the unsightly pond of rainwater which accumulated on the road which had subsided. That made it possible for people to get closer to the auctioneer.
