•When it came time to start thinking about putting our mother’s house on the market as she was now in permanent care we went to Blackshaw Real Estate with our questions about the whole process. They introduced us to Michael Braddon straight away, and he listened to our situation with empathy and compassion. Heoutlined the whole process of when to put the property up for sale, the commission costs depending on sale price and gave us contacts to hire a solicitor too. Michael answered all of our questions, before, during and after the sale of our mother’s property. He checked-in with us, guided us in getting the property sale ready and presentable, provided us with contact details for a building inspector, and kept us fully informed on what needed to happen to help us meet selling deadlines. With Michael’s guidance we elected to go to auction and had three open houses in November 2020. Michael rang us after each open house and let us know of the interested parties and answered any questions we had. The a week before auction an offer came in and he rang to advise us. It was a great offer and we discussed it with him and then we decided to accept the offer. The contract of sale was done that day, and the settlement date set. During the settlement time Michael touched base with us so we were all on the same page to confirm building reports and the plumbing certification. Then as the settlement date approached and the banks confirmed they were ready to settle, Michael was there again with the professionalism and empathy we needed supporting us as the house went to the new owners. We were so pleased with Michael Braddon’s work, the team and all they did to keep us fully informed, walk us through the process and the way they celebrated the success of the house sale with us too.
