It is now February 2017 and we bought our property via Barbara Holmes in December 2016. At the time it would have been easy to write a positive review due to the excitement of a new property purchase. I have held of until now to write this review because with time to reflect upon the events leading up to the purchase I believe a better assessment of the real issues can be written. Having had dealings with over 15 Real Estate agents over the years, sometimes I was the seller other times the buyer, I believe I am able to make a realistic and unbiased assessment of how good or bad an agent is. Without a doubt, Barbara Homes is not only in the good section, she leads it. Barbara knows her product and better still she relates very well to people. While Barbara was engaged by the seller, she saw herself as the facilitator of a deal and while always acting professionally and maintaining confidences she made time to understand my situation and was more than accommodating with her time via inspections or providing information to me to enable me to arrive at a decision. Unlike other agents I believe that Barbara, while working for her seller, knew that there is no ‘real’ sale without a satisfied buyer and while she represented her seller strongly and fairly she also ensured that I was given every opportunity to make an informed decision. In a way she became a trusted friend and that trust resulted in a mutually beneficial sale. Barbara wasn’t just about the sale though, they come and go. Barbara was about the relationship, which is the basis of good business practice – the forerunner to the next sale. Smart, capable, hardworking, ethical and friendly – that’s Barbara Holmes. She is recommended.
