Good agency, terrible for leaving my rental I'm an appalling condition
I recently moved into a rental in the new year. When I attended the inspection for the house prior to moving in it was in a poor condition from the previous tenants although I was assured by the agent it would be cleaned and fixed before anyone moved in. After my application was approved and it was move in day I went to go check out my new rental home. Upon entering the house I instantly noticed it was still in a disgusting condition, the previous tenants had cleaned next to nothing. There were missing doornobs, no light bulbs, the oven was not cleaned, dishwasher full of dishes and they had also left a bunch of property I do not claim ownership of. The tiles were dirty and marked, rubbish all over my front lawn and upon ascending upstairs every room with carpet stunk of cat piss! The walls were so badly cleaned that there was cat poo and litter scraped up on several walls and doors. There are enormous marks on the walls with missing paint that looks atrocious and blinds not attatched. To explain to you how terrible of a condition this property was left in would be an understatement, but to it put it in to perspective not even my toilet seat would stay attatched to the toilet. 3 weeks, nearly a month in of my new rental I have heard no word back from the real estate and I have been left with other people's mess, meaning I have had to try and fix a lot of these problems myself. When I addressed these issues I was informed I had to make a maintenance request. It's outrageous I've been told to make such a request when the issues were made prior to my move in. Lovely people but I'm furious and disgusted of how they decided to palm this off to me.
