The Open Inspection days went without incident and Calvin and the team used their local knowledge to determine prospective buyers. Calvin was the whole package. In fact all the team at Buxton were friendly and obliging. Unfortunately we didn't get the sale price I was hoping for, but I guess the current global situation had something to do with this.

Calvin was great throughout our sale process - in getting a great description prepared, marketing & through an auction run during the COVID-19 crisis. He provided great advice mid-way through the auction that ensured it kept running (despite taking a long time!) to get us to our reserve price. I liked that he was direct & straight with us on the challenges of marketing during this period.

We selected Calvin Chan as we were selling in Box Hill and we were selling into a very specific market to a very selective cross section of buyers. We found Calvin to be quietly spoken, well mannered and more inclined to conservatism than brash statements on what he could do for us. We were inundated by agents knocking at the door wanting to sell the property and Calvin's approach was in direct contrast to these agents generally. Calvin respected our timeframes and every so often rang suggesting we follow a particular auction in our area. The pandemic certainly affected our sale. Alex was exceptional at the Open for Inspections and identifying potential bidders. We went to auction two weeks before auctions were banned. We dropped in price after an unsuccessful auction (well attended, but too many nervous bidders keeping their hands in their pockets). Jim and Calvin worked very hard to get us a reasonable offer to consider in the two weeks following. We intend to sell and buy in this current market so our reduced price is inconsequential if we now buy a bit cheaper.
