We chose Ozan and the Buxton team for their local knowledge of the area. We wanted an agent who had the local clientele’s best interests at heart. Unfortunately we realised that perhaps we made the wrong choice as Ozan and his team did not follow through with the promises they provided when we first met up. They were often late to our open for inspections, when advised they would be 15 minutes early and we weren’t even updated if they were running late, we had to follow up first. They told us they had people on their buyers lists looking for properties just like ours pre-signing, and then we never heard further about these so called interested people. Ozan also advised he couldn’t fit us into his schedule to have an in person discussion, even though we were under the impression the agents would do whatever they could to suit and help us, again based on that initial meet up. We found our conversations on the phone extremely repetitive and felt like Ozan never understood our concerns or questions, as though he ran off a practiced persuasive type script in his head with generic responses to make his clients think he understands your needs. Even after the third discussion on a certain concern, we got nowhere and gave up, we were already in too deep anyway. We came to the conclusion that based off Ozan’s other listings that were advertised for over one million dollars, we were second best as our property was listed for under that price. Possibly, if your property will be listed for seven digits, I’m sure the process and care from the Buxton team would be better as they get a better commission, but for properties under this range, I would look elsewhere. We wish we did our research before jumping the gun with Buxton.
