This sale was beset by many problems, including an intractable tenant, COVID restrictions on viewings and sudden instability in the real estate market while it was on sale. It took much longer to sell than either of us anticipated. A lesser agent might have put the property on her backburner or "crunched" the vendor to try to get a fire sale. But Val kept the faith and worked the market under trying circumstances, and always opined that we should stick to our guns on the price because the price was correct. When some of the other difficulties cleared up, we sold at the price we both agreed on at the start. I always felt that Val was in my corner, and I know that any corner with Val Ryman in it is a good corner to be in.
