Honesty, Trust and tenacity- often talked about but rarely displayed by Real Estate agents generally
It would have been easy for us to give our listing to any one of our local agents who all claimed they had the biggest database of buyers! Once you look past all the hype- my experience told me we needed to choose the agent we felt we could trust the most to tell us both the good and not so good feedback all the way through the selling process irrespective of what suburb their office was in! Scott was definitely that person and didnt disappoint us with what we got! Our sale took about 7 weeks and yes like all sellers we were hoping to find someone straight away but the reality is in this current market it does take a bit longer usually. Scott's communication frequency was brilliant and much more than we expected- calling it as it was (which was refreshing and appreciated) but constantly tried different things to keep our property in buyer's eyes. I can only imagine he came across to buyers as a calming but reputable influence (as he did to us) which may have been the reason our buyers got to exchange and settlement much faster than expected! If you are considering selling your home and friends or family say you have to give the listing to the agent with the biggest profile or the closest one to your property I suggest you politely disregard their advice and choose the agent that you find the easiest to work with- we consciously swum against the tide of opinion by choosing Scott and Elders but could not be happier with the outcome!
