We entered into an “online auction” which was anything but an auction. An auction in my opinion ends on the advertised time and date with the winner being the highest bidder at the time. This was not the case. The auction end date was changed on 3 occasions. We were also pushed into paying more for the property than we were comfortable paying but as we had sold our other home had little choice but to continue. During the process of purchasing this property our personal interactions with Roslyn were zero although her name was on the for sale sign, the home open was conducted by her husband whom was 30 minutes late. The information on the property and its workings were sketchy even though we asked many questions. Most of our enquires were handled by Roslyn’s daughter Michaela who was not educated on the workings of many of the houses features. We requested all the pre purchase checks be carried out, and as we were new to the Bunbury area relied on Roslyn to advise and organise suitable trades to do these. The checks were done and we reluctantly went ahead with the sale. On settlement day we found that Roslyn didn’t even have a set of keys for the property, this began a list of nasty surprises for us. Even though the ducted air conditioning unit had been inspected prior to settlement and had been repaired twice after settlement by Roslyn’s suggested technicians we took it upon ourselves to have a different company inspect it they discovered that the unit was broken beyond repair. There was many electrical issues in the property, again the electrician used for the pre purchase inspection was suggested to us by Roslyn. Yo date the list goes on. All in all this purchase has not be a pleasant one and if we had our time over we would not use Roslyn Ierace again and probably stay away from Elders Real Estate company in general.

After signing on we only had one call from Roslyn herself and that was with the offer we accepted, all other contact was her assistant. No congratulations when property sold, no follow-up from her no gift, anything. Having sold multiple properties before we have always received a gibed, card, follow up etc Was disappointed as any property is selling in a week without help so no much required for a 5 figure commission, could have managed a phone call and a box of chocolates. Wouldn't use again.
