With some improvements to existing fencing and a simple open shed for shelter and rain water catchment, you could easily keep a pony on the level, well-grassed pasture that covers the lower section of this delightful Lunawanna block. About 1.7 acres (0.7 hectares) in area, the gently-sloping sloping top part of the land supports low native vegetation and there's a central belt of attractive mature trees.
A house built high on the block would capture glimpses of the water from its elevated position. The land is near the end of a very quiet and secluded cul-de-sac, just on the northern side of the Lunawanna settlement. An entrance drive and gate gives good access and on the northern boundary there's a public walkway (on the plan but virtually never used) that runs down to meet Cemetery Road, then goes through a narrow parcel of public open space adjacent to the Coastal Reserve to meet the shore.
It's a short drive to Lunawanna's excellent boat ramp and jetty and there's another good sheltered ramp even closer, off Cemetery Road. Daniels Bay and the D'Entrecasteaux Channel offer great fishing, boating, sailing, diving and kayaking. Alonnah's shop, hotel, school, medical centre, chemist and marina are a few minutes away.
For space, position, privacy and potential, this parcel of Bruny Island land is hard to beat.
