I put my three year old Orange townhouse on the market with an Orange Agent in April 2023. The house was furnished but vacant as I live in Queensland. The place was finally sold in July, but the sale fell through so I then listed it with Lucas Ferrari. Lucas was introduced to me as a real estate agent by one of my sons. From day one, Lucas was on the job. He arranged a gardener to come and tidy the yard. A "For sale" sign was errected, photos taken and media coverage displayed. Lucas had open house every Saturday and reported to me that afternoon of those showing interest. He was very reliable, trustwothy and efficient. To complete the story, the house was sold and I had the money in my bank within 10 weeks from start to finish. I came to Orange one week before sale completion to pack and move the furniture. Lucas was very friendly and kindly helped. Through out the whole stressful moving experience, Lucas was very professional. I recommend him as an agent and would not consider engaing anyone else.

Lucas approached us after selling a property across the road. He got me excited with talk of some big numbers our property could sell for. We signed on. Coincidentally, a buyer wrote me a letter and dropped it in our mailbox, expressing interest in buying our property. I referred them to Lucas. We held an open house on a rainy day that flopped. Lucas came back to me with an offer from the buyers I referred to him. A little back and forth negotiating, then a price was agreed upon. I felt Lucas was keen to get the sale quickly rather than to work for a better price. I had an agent looking after the place while it was for sale. I passed on her contact details to Lucas' office, but it seems they forgot it and instead called me each time they wanted keys or to get in. I wondered if I had been heard. We probably got a decent price considering the environment, but I'm left wondering what might have happened with more time and effort, and if the value proposition in using an agent is still a valid one in 2023.
