Our experience was beyond appalling. From making an offer on the block of land, Mark was arrogant, over powering and unapproachable. When we first called to make our offer we were told that he would take it to the seller and get back to me. I waited an hour and a half, to then return the phone call myself and be told "someone else has made an offer too". Understandable but obviously questionable with not being called back with this kind of news. We were told when making the offer that "this block is in the final stages of a sub division and will be ready to go no later than December". After just selling our first home, this was a perfect start for our family and our new home. The block went unconditional and with this, Mark advised us that we were more than welcome to clear the block, put a fence up and do whatever to get started for the build in January. After numerous conversations about the block being in council and registering "any day now", fast forward to March, still no settlement. I called Mark to discuss the information he was passing on and asked why "he assured us, we would be able to build by January". The response i got from this man, someone who runs a successful business, was disgraceful. Mark answered with "what's an assurance Emily, did you get it in writing", knowing that i had not because my conversation were all with him on the phone, he continued with and I quote: "anyway, why do you need this block so badly, IT'S NOT LIKE YOU ARE DYING OF CANCER". I have never been spoken to with such anger and spite from a human in my life and can not believe that a business man could speak these kind of words to a stranger. Since that day in March, Mr Cheney had not made any form of contact. Not to apologies or check on his clients who he was selling a block of land to. It is now August and our block settled in July, 9 months after the contract was signed. I do not say this lightly, when i say that this man does not deserve the right to do his job.
