Laureen's character and reputation speak for itself. It's impossible to meet Laureen Wood and not immediately feel at ease and in the company of a kind hearted, good person. When I bought my property on Bruny Island I didn't know any of the locals. I arrived on the last ferry. It was getting dark and there was a storm coming in. Laureen met me at Roberts point and drove me to my new home she'd just sold me. She prepared some food for my first few nights, some wine, cheese, and a loaf of freshly baked bread. I was at home right away. Laureen's understanding of how realestate works in Tasmania is impressive to say the least but it is her authenticity and kindness that I think of the most. Working with Laureen feels like talking to a new friend. She is confident but not overhearing and she never makes anyone feel under any unnecessary pressure. From finding my property online to going through all the steps, Laureen made my experience feel informed, relaxed but also exciting. She takes joy in her job. Laureen has a big heart and understands how people's lives change and how fragile people can be when buying or selling their property. I would go so far as to say that Laureen Wood isn't a realestate agent, she is a maker of dreams. Her ability to shift with situations as they unfold and work on making sure both parties feel comfortable isn't just rare in realestate, it's almost the opposite of what people think a realestate agent to be. Often I felt like Laureen was my counsellor as well as my agent; she spent so much time on the phone listening to my personal challenges, concerns and emotional difficulties around finding my forever home. I trusted her advice implicitly. I've bought and sold four properties from the Northern Rivers to Tasmania and Laureen Wood is by far my best agent. You can trust her to find the best price for your home and she works swiftly. She is honest, reliable and kind. When everything is spinning around you, Laureen is your lighthouse.
