First home buyer

I have been prompted several times to write this review, to which I was reluctant. As a first home buyer, I'm overall disappointed with the experience given by Fletchers Croydon, particularly as it progressed. I felt like a small fish in a big pond for several reasons. Firstly, my phone calls or requests to the Agent often went unanswered. I had to follow up on questions on more than one occasion, and often was left in the dark for several days; I felt like I wasn't taken seriously as a buyer. Secondly, I wasn't given the opportunity to put a sold sticker on the advertising board. It may seem silly, however it is special for me as a first home buyer to take a photo with the sticker in front of my new home. I had called the Fletchers office a few weeks after signing the contract to request a sticker. After picking it up from your office, when I arrived at the property, sticker in hand, to my great dismay I was greeted with one that had already been put up on the board. Thirdly, there was no acknowledgement or celebration of this milestone, such as a bottle of wine or any sort of gesture from your office. Again it may seem insignificant however it added to my feeling of being a 'small fish' despite purchasing a $450,000 home. I'm glad the sale was finalised, because I do love my new home, however Fletchers could have made it a more exciting experience.
