Pam and I only communicated phone, text and email. I learned from Fletcher's Real Estate Point Cook that in the West, nearly all properties were sold by Private Treaty and not at an auction. Pam's colleague, Harpreet, was patient with my questions and could answer whatever I threw at him in the period before I contracted Fletchers as my selling agent. I found Pam's and Harpreet's manner courteous and friendly. They came across as people with integrity who could be trusted to act in my best interest, and to give an honest opinion about the market and not what sellers hoped to hear. I put my house on the market in June and it took four months to sell. This surprised us all because we thought the property was well priced, in an excellent location, and a lovely home. This is where I felt I got value for my money in selecting Fletchers because in a depressed market, they made a difference. Harpreet Walia and in particular his assistant Pam Kaur, had to work especially hard to follow up potential buyers, all while the house was still tenanted which presented some problems. They continued to have open house inspections nearly every week for four months. Pam used her negotiation skills to persuade the final buyer to raise their bids to a price I was comfortable to sell at because there was no way I was going to offload it at less than a fair market price. It was determination and persistence on her part to convince the buyer that they too had to be realistic about what price it would sell at and that they got a good deal. I found both Harpreet and Pam easy to deal with, and they were available well past normal business hours. I was surprised that they responded at times when I sent a text or email because I was not expecting any response until the following day. I would certainly recommend them to others hoping to sell in the Western suburbs.
