I've dealt with a lot of real estate agents but this is the first time I've had an experience that resulted in me actually respecting the agent. Jane and James Garwood were excellent agents! From the start they were swift, prompt, knew what strategies to implement and had all the right contacts to approach in order to best prepare my home for sale. When we ran into some unforeseen hurdles relating to strata, they went above and beyond to address them. They also abided by principles of honesty and integrity throughout the campaign, disclosing all the key facts to buyers (including explaining some of the more complex items), so buyers could make an informed, fair decision. I have sold 4 different properties and never seen any agent with this level of commitment and dedication. Jane went out of her way to not only find the right buyers for my home but also rolled up her sleeves and got involved in helping me and my neighbours with optimising plans and commercial negotiations with different vendors for upcoming capital works (including taking time to meet with potential tradies even after we had secured a sale!). Her knowledge of the building industry through her extensive experience as not just an agent but also a developer brought unique, helpful insight to the process and allowed me to better manage the capital works elements of the property. Jane was always available and kept me informed throughout the process. She and James became like trusted advisors / friends and made what could’ve been a tough process feel less transactional and more like one stage in a longer term relationship of advice & support. They are excellent, experienced agents who bring a warmth, integrity and sincerity to their interactions. Those are words I never thought I’d write about an agent, and that’s what makes them very special operators!
