The sun dips low over the paddocks, spilling golden light across the wide, flat lawn. From the front living room, you can see it all; the kids kicking the footy through the goal posts, racing after each other with the dog bounding after them and the laughter echoing through the open windows. Inside, the air smells faintly of dinner cooking and heat from the slow-combustion fire curling into every corner.
