So Much Above Expectations

We recently sold our house to downsize to a smaller off-the-plan property. The decision after 35 years living in the same property was not easy and we had many anxieties on the financial side. We decided to use Harcourts to sell our property, as they have been recommended to us by a number of our neighbours. The agent assigned to us was Rachael Luo! Rachael’s performance was so much above expectations that I have decided to write a reference commending her. In my business, marketing internationally in 40 countries, I have met many professionals. Although in a different profession, this is irrelevant to the concept of professionalism. I can say that Rachael topped all with her professionalism, whilst at the same time keeping her humanity when dealing with customers. She knew how traumatic the sale was to us and her body language showed a genuine understanding. When we hinted we may not proceed, because it was too hard emotionally, not once did Rachael put the expected pressure on us, even though a sale is important to her. We all have to make a living. Her genuineness made us proceed. Rachael knew we needed a reliable estimate of the selling price. We have heard many ‘stories’ of how estate agents will bump up the price to win the contract. Rachael gave her estimate with utmost confidence and guaranteed her estimate by specifying a minimum selling price on the contract. Within a few number of days she sold our property at a higher value and as an added bonus with a flexible settlement date to match our off-the-plan sale. All my anxieties disappeared immediately. The biggest compliment an estate agent can obtain is from a competitor. The estate agent for our new property had to contact Rachael on a matter. When he finished, he contacted me and reassured me that I am in the best possible hands. “Rachael knows what she is doing and if she cannot sell the property at the price we needed then he cannot either.” I recommend her to anyone wishing to sell or buy property.
