Buying is an awfully stressful process, with various parties in play & tight timelines and alot of it is out of your own control. So, though overall we found Jenny to be mostly helpful, accommodating and usually responsive, we were a little taken back when we received a phone call [which came across as a rather threaning], adding unnecessary stress due to in our opinion [lack of communication & understand between agent & sellers] over a clause/condition which was clearly stated in our offer, an offer which was accepted in its entirety, so when it came to contract time, delays were caused as this condition was missing, then more time taken to ensure our Solicitors included that clause/condition, contracts were re-sent back to us to sign, which we did so promptly, then only to receive a call after a day, stating in a matter of fact, that IF we did not remove this clause/condition the sellers would move to terminate, and when I requested that we have that statement in writting - email from agent/sellers solicitors [not just a verbal] we were told, IF the seller needs to go to solicitors, they will likely rather terminate! so more time delays caused, for us to seek legal advise from our solicitors and then for further amended contracts to be resent to all parties... We understand the agent is there for the Seller, but we found that unprofessional and frankly dissapointing added with a little surprised [during mid purchase] that she had gone on leave - without giving us notice/warning [maybe she has many sales in progress and didn't have the time]. We do wish to add that as the property was/is tenanted, the Managing agents also Harcourts Yeppoon [Nat & Lee-Ann] have been super, trying their best to provide us necessary access both of the physical property to perform due diligents of Building & Pest inspections, plus important information around current leases and such, giving us what we needed, whilst protecting the rights of the tenant. Thank you

Jenny Horn
