I’m glad I went with Lauchlan Waterfield for the campaign. The record result for a one bedroom property in that block speaks for itself. My property was always within the top few search results during each week of the campaign on realestate.com.au and I think that made a huge difference. We'd been looking to buy a house for 9 months, so when it came time to sell our apartment had a good understanding of the agents in our area and chose Lauchlan due to his communication skills, genuine nature and rapport. We engaged Lauchlan just prior to Christmas with a view to a Feb campaign. We ended up selling 2 days prior to Christmas to the third party that came through and after holding steady, they made an offer we couldn't refuse. Lauchlan then worked tirelessly through the Christmas / New Years period, including a call on New Years Day to ensure all the documents were in place to enable an end of January settlement. In 2013 my wife and I wanted to sell our apartment. We spoke to Andrew Summons from Hocking Stuart Armadale. He gave us a fair assessment of our property's value. We also met a real estate agent whose office was based in a different part of Melbourne and chose him to sell our property. We were definitely influenced by the high figure he told us our apartment would sell for. Weeks later we realised we had made a fundamental error by placing our trust in someone who had been quite unrealistic. We lost faith in our agent and did not sell in 2013. Looking back, we now know we should have paid much more attention to the expert in our area who gave us an honest assessment of our property's worth. That was our mistake. In 2014 we decided to work with Andrew and Walter Summons from Hocking Stuart Armadale, who, from the outset, gave us a realistic idea of the value of the property. The photos and the overall quality of the marketing of the property far surpassed that done by the other agent back in 2013.
