We were fortunate to meet David Alvares about five years ago at an open for inspection in our street. We kept in touch over the years as we worked our way through renovations on our home until we decided to think about listing. At this time, we contacted David for a valuation and had quite a detailed conversation about what our brief was for our new home. Shortly after, we got a phone call to say he had found a house perfect for us, and that it ticked all our boxes. As soon as we saw it we knew that he was spot on! After David saw us through the process of buying, we enlisted his help in selling our house. We were thrilled that he had really listened to us and matched our needs so well to the home we purchased, but we had much trepidation as we weren’t planning on buying before selling! Though the process of selling was stressful (as is the nature of selling), David and the Hoskins team did so much work to ensure we were well prepared for our opens. From setting realistic expectations within the boundaries of the market at the time, to Leanne’s fabulous advice with dressing the house for sale through to David managing the opens and finally closing the sale of our property, we were very happy with the process. The delivery of flowers prior to our first open was a lovely touch. We found David to be highly approachable, honest, realistic and extremely dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for our family. He was always prompt in responding to questions and spent a great deal of time during the process talking us through each stage. We had a great deal of faith in him and it certainly paid off! Peter was very helpful from the word go. After an initial consultation with myself and my mother, (my father was in hospital at the time), then when the house finally became available go on the maket, Peter helped my parents every step of the way. Negotiations towards the end of the advertising campaign with potential buyers saw the house sold for a price that my parents expected to get. I was hesitant to have my property sold by auction, but with Ian Reid's advocates advice I agreed, from that moment on I was very impressed with his selection of Brent Peters (Hoskins Real Estate). Brent was at all times professional with his recommendations, follow up phone calls letting me know what was going on after each house open. His speed with contacting buyers that, unfortunately for them, missed out of previous auctions in the area, also other clients on his books looking for a property. His staff were extremely helpful with my few queries. On the day of the auction, whilst I waited inside I was amazed at the speed of the bids and Brent's ability to keep up with each and every bid.
