Bad experience, poor communication, dirty property!
We moved into the property expecting it to have been properly cleaned and prepared for new tenants, but on arrival we found a number of cleanliness issues, including faeces left in the toilet, a pregnancy test out by the hot water cylinder, toothpaste residue, dirty floors and windows, a dirty dishwasher that doesn’t even work, unemptied bins with a large number of flies/maggots, and fruit flies throughout the property, honestly I could go on. We also discovered a number of maintenance and safety concerns after moving in. What has been particularly disappointing is the lack of acknowledgement and accountability when these issues have been raised with the property manager. We have tried to communicate respectfully and give the agent an opportunity to address our concerns, but we have not felt that they have been taken seriously. As tenants, we understand that properties aren’t always perfect, but we do expect a property to be reasonably clean and maintained when we move in, and we expect our concerns to be acknowledged and dealt with professionally. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.
