I must admit I was purchasing a property where Jason was the agent. On two occasions I was told that my offer was too low & that his vendor had accepted a “much higher offer”. Within an hour of receiving an email that my offer was “too low” I was rung by Jason and said that the other offer had fallen through and my offer was accepted. This was on Christmas Eve. I had pressure to put a holding deposit that evening, knowing full well that nothing was going to happen till the new year. After doing a building and pest inspection there were several issues that needed attending, including installation of smoke alarms. I had asked for a small reduction in price in keeping with the repairs that was needed. That was bluntly rejected. I accepted the price. Then I find out that from January 2022 that smoke alarm systems have now become compulsory and due to me signing on Christmas Eve, that this has now become my problem. So, the initial deception of what price was too low, suddenly becoming very acceptable, the issues of repairs and smoke alarms and other issues left a bitter taste in my mouth. I understand that Jason is representing his vendor. But to me there was obvious deception on more than one occasion. It’s not how you get repeat customers. Hence my giving only two stars.
