We purchased a property in Forster through Carly in June. We live in Victoria and due to Covid couldn't get up to see the property. Then NSW went into lockdown and the unit settled and we still hadn't seen it. Less than ideal. However, thankfully we had Carly on board with us who organised for video chats and kept us updated through every step of the process. She took the stress out of a very stressful time and we couldn't be more grateful. We are looking forward to welcoming her over for a celebratory drink once we can get up to Forster to celebrate. We recently bought a gorgeous little place in Forster to give ourselves a sea change. With our budget, and the fact we're in the middle of a pandemic, it was a massive challenge for Alex. He understood exactly what we needed, helped us find it, managed us through a vendor pulling the plug at exchange, did video walk throughs for us (we're 200km away), coordinated our building inspections and ultimately made the whole process really smooth and painless. It was like having our own personal buyers agent and we're stoked with the place we bought. Special shout out to Ebony who was super helpful too. The experience with Carlie when looking at and negotiating a price on a house was a great experience. Carlie was honest and did not hide imperfections she was aware of and was willing to take all offers back to the owner. My partner and I ended up securing our first home at a price that both we and the seller could agree on without the stress or a pseudo bidding war. Once we had made our first offer and it was accepted with condition Carlie happily negotiated with us to secure the price without bringing other competitors into the mix. Alex recently helped my wife and I list and sell my father's property in Tuncurry. This was a very difficult time for us and Alex's care, professionalism and understanding was very much welcomed. His knowledge of the local real estate market is second to none in my opinion and what he estimated Dad's property was worth was ultimately the sales price achieved. I have found that a number of agents in the Forster / Tuncurry area "buy" listings for prospective vendors and provide a higher evaluation of a properties worth just to get said listing. As mentioned Alex certainly wasn't this way inclined. During the sales negotiation process and associated legalities, Alex keep us updated daily and provided a clear picture of what exactly was happening with contract exchanges, settlement periods etc. This was awesome. I highly recommend Alex and the team at JKL and will certainly be utilising their services going forward with any of my real estate requirements be that purchasing or selling.
