▶Our experience with the sales agent from Knock Knock Real Estate was disappointing due to several significant issues throughout the transaction. Inspection Requests Our request for a thorough pre-exchange inspection was not supported, and important matters relating to non-obvious issues were not proactively disclosed. Pre-Settlement Inspection The final inspection process was poorly managed. My husband was told the inspection was at 9:00am, while I was told 9:30am. We arrived at 9:20am, believing we were arriving within the agreed timeframe. The inspection had been limited to 45 minutes. The agent attended for approximately 10 minutes before leaving at around 9:45am for another appointment, stating we were “late”. Given the conflicting times provided, this response was concerning. A final inspection requires adequate time and the agent’s presence to address issues appropriately. Handling of Property Issues During the inspection, several problems were identified, including a stove not functioning, air conditioning not working, only one key provided, and carpet staining that had not been evident previously. When the stove was tested and did not work, the situation was treated dismissively, and we were told these matters were not the agent’s responsibility and to speak to our solicitor. Several items of information promised during the sale process also remain outstanding three months later. Client Focus The overall experience conveyed a stronger focus on securing the sale than on post-contract client support. After settlement, attention was repeatedly drawn to a small gift, while practical and serious property matters remained unresolved. Based on our experience, we found the process lacked professionalism, accountability, and adequate client care, and we would not recommend this agency.
