Deeply disappointing and stressful experience. Buyers beware.
From the start, our dealings with Tri were distressing. As genuine homebuyers simply trying to follow the correct process, we were met with pressure, manipulation, and unprofessional behaviour.
When we advised Tri that we were waiting on our solicitor’s review before signing, he dismissed our concerns and referred to our solicitor as “incompetent.” He even pushed us to use his own solicitor friend which was an obvious conflict of interest. He then attempted to pressure us into signing immediately, warning that the homeowner would terminate the sale if we didn’t comply that same day. We stood firm and waited until our solicitor gave us the all clear.
Once everything was cleared, we signed based on a mutually agreed settlement date. However, just two days before settlement, I had to call Tri to check in only to be told that the vendor wasn’t ready and wanted to delay. Had I not reached out, we fear we wouldn’t have been informed at all. This caused immense stress, as we had already made preparations for the agreed date.
Tri then falsely claimed he had spoken to our solicitor and that they had approved the extension. When I contacted my solicitor, they confirmed no such conversation had taken place. When I confronted Tri, he backtracked and admitted he hadn’t spoken to them at all which completely contradicted his earlier claim.
This behaviour was not only dishonest but extremely unprofessional. Tri’s scare tactics, pressure, and misleading conduct turned what should have been an exciting journey into a nightmare. We haven’t even touched on the issues with tenants which is a whole other story.
We hope no other buyers have to go through what we did. Tri’s conduct was completely unacceptable and we believe he needs serious retraining or reconsideration of his role entirely
Disregard the one star if I could give zero, I would.
